Chloe Bates
Chloe is a third year PhD Candidate at the University of Kent, specialising in Cogntiive Neuroscience. She works with a collaborative supervisory team from the School of Psychology and KMMS.
Chloe’s PhD project focuses on improving the mechanistic understanding for the cognitive processing of self- and socially-relevant information. Chloe uses neurophysiological methods such as non-invasive brain stimulation and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), as well as behavioural interventions such as interpersonal movement synchrony.
Additionally, Chloe has applied computational analyses to her data such as dynamical systems modelling and hierarchical Bayesian models of metacognition. Chloe is also an Associate Lecturer teaching Statistics and Methodology, using RStudio, for the School of Psychology's Master's programs.
